Dr Hilda Bigdeli-Azari
CLIENTELE: Dr. Bigdeli-Azari, neuropsychologist, is a consultant for Medipsy. She works with children, adolescent, and adults. She is formally trained in the evaluation of neurodegenerative disorders, epilepsy, and traumatic brain injury in adults. She has also worked with children and adolescents for the assessment of attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), learning disorders and academic derogation.

Intern in psychotherapy
Tima Chokr
CLIENTELE: Tima is a doctoral candidate in clinical psychology at the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières. She works with teenagers and young adults facing challenges such as anxiety, attention deficit disorder (ADHD), relational difficulties, behavioral issues, low self-esteem, and difficulties with social adaptation.

Primarily trained in psychodynamic therapy, she is also integrating third-wave CBT techniques into her practice to offer clients a broader range of tools and strategies. During her first internship, she also collaborated with her younger clients’ parents to offer parental coaching to support their child’s progress in therapy.

Elena Dikaios

Dr Marilyn Fitzpatrick

QUALIFICATIONS: Dr. Marilyn Fitzpatrick, Ph.D. is a psychologist with more than 30 years of experience in the practice of psychotherapy. She is the Director of the Counselling Psychology Programs at McGill University where she supervises trainees in research-based approaches to therapeutic practice. She is also the Co-Director of the McGill Psychotherapy Process Research Group (MPPRG). Her research focuses on the processes that support successful psychotherapy such as a strong alliance and client involvement. She also studies and lectures on the use of progress monitoring measures to improve psychotherapy outcomes. Catherine Hebert
CLIENTELE: Catherine is a doctoral candidate who works with adults presenting with anxiety disorders, mood disorders, eating disorders, life transition concerns and interpersonal difficulties.

Her principle line of research focuses on knowledge translation, the use of evidence-based practices in psychotherapy, and best practices in professional psychology. Neuropsychologist, OPQ
Dr Nora Kelner
CLIENTELE: Dr. Kelner is a neuropsychologist and consultant for Medipsy. She has extensive experience working with young and older adults who experience cognitive or functional difficulties and for who a neuropsychological evaluation is needed to assist psychotherapists in cases lacking progress due to unsuspected cognitive elements or to facilitate effective academic and / or work-related decisions.
Neuropsychological evaluations are crucial in diagnosing cognitive disorders, to establish differential diagnoses, and to identify strengths and weaknesses before engaging in a training process for adults that have experienced:
- Attention Deficits-Hyperactivity Disorders (ADHD) that have been suspected, yet, undiagnosed,
- Mild brain injury with various sequelae and for whom appropriate and efficient re-training is needed,

As director of McGill’s Health Psychology Research Group, Dr. Körner’s work focuses on individuals with chronic and/or life-threatening medical illnesses, health behaviours, self-compassion, and interpersonal competence. Dr. Körner started practicing psychotherapy in 1995 and has been trained in humanistic, psychodynamic, and cognitive-behavioural therapy.

CLIENTELE: Audrey is a psychologist who works with children, adolescents, young adults, families, and adults. Julie Simard Sauvageau
CLIENTELE: Julie is a doctoral candidate in clinical and research psychology at the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières (UQTR). She is also a licensed pharmacist. She enjoys working with adults and elderly clients. While she can help people with various difficulties, she has a special interest in supporting individuals struggling with anxiety disorders, particularly social anxiety, attention deficit disorder and complex trauma-related issues.
Because of her pharmacy background, Julie is also sensitive to the importance of body and mind connections. She has experience working with people who suffer from chronic medical conditions and have difficulty adapting to them and managing them in the day-to-day. QUALIFICATIONS: As part of the requirements to obtain her Ph.D in psychology, Julie is currently working at Medipsy on her last internship. Her research primarily focuses on body-mind connections, harnessing the placebo effects and common factors to improve the efficacy of interventions and the deprescription of inappropriate medication in the elderly.
